Partners

“Local Food” means different things to different people. Wikipedia defines it as a “collaborative effort to build more locally based, self-reliant food economies – one in which sustainable food production, processing, distribution, and consumption is integrated to enhance the economic, environmental and social health of a particular place…” Here at 1892 East, we like to keep things simple so our definition is: look to those around us, be friends with them and help each other out.

Each day Chef Steve brings in the freshest, healthiest, local ingredients to prepare his tasty dishes. This food comes from carefully selected suppliers that provide the highest quality foods on family farms. It’s our belief that we should all know where our food originates and under what conditions it is prepared. So, below you will find information on our partners, the farms where the vegetables, animals, cheese and brews are produced; the photographer who makes the restaurant melt into the neighborhood. Take a few moments to get to know them. You’ll like them and love their food!
